Meet Our Team

Tamara Elassal LPC

I work with children (5+), adolescents (families) and adults. Children often exhibit behaviors such as outbursts, meltdowns or withdrawal that indicate their cry for help. Pre-teens, teens and adults will often exhibit signs of depression and anxiety or even physical symptoms such as stomach aches, headaches, sleep disturbances or other health concerns that are often a sign of their internal struggles. No matter the age I believe all can benefit from mental health services. I believe strongly in the mind-body connection and use this belief to guide the therapeutic process to meet your unique needs.

I specialize in trauma (as well as depression and anxiety) using a variety of approaches such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness therapies and skills training. I am also trained in EMDR, a process which helps individuals process trauma and negative self talk to help alleviate symptoms. I am also trained in play therapy and sand tray.

When working with very young children I like to alternate child sessions, with parenting/caregiver sessions, I have found that this helps accelerate progress.

Ashley Jereda LPC


My ideal client is someone who is open to exploring new perspectives and willing to use their unique strengths as part of their growth process. I work with individuals experiencing a range of concerns, including self-esteem challenges, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and grief or loss. My clients are curious about understanding themselves more deeply and recognize that personal growth can create positive change across many areas of their lives.


My approach is collaborative, strength-based and person-centered, combining evidence-based practices with warmth, empathy, and genuine connection to help you more toward balance, confidence, and overall well-being. Together, we'll identify your strengths, build effective coping skills, and develop tools to creating lasting change.

Samantha Katzel LPC-R

Many of us struggle with various issues throughout our lives, but no one should struggle alone. One of the bravest things you can do is ask for help and my goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to receive the help they seek. Within this space, we will explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We will also work to develop effective coping and problem-solving skills to promote personal well-being and to help you become the person you strive to be.

I utilize techniques from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and believe in a strengths-based approach. I have personal experience with anxiety, depression, and being a child of divorce. I strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for clients of all backgrounds, cultures, and religions.

Hi, I'm Samantha, a Resident in Counseling at Mind Meadow Counseling, LLC in Fairfax, VA working under the supervision of Tamara Elassal, LPC. Omeed Hemmat LPC-R

I offer an approach that combines principles from ACT, humanistic, and existential therapy, tailored to fit your specific needs. Central to my therapeutic orientation is the belief that people have the capacity for self-awareness and choice. I want to help you make meaningful choices to live a more fulfilling life and build skills along the way.

William Brown LPC-R

I offer a grounded, practical approach to therapy that helps people make sense of what they are experiencing and regain a sense of stability and control in their lives. My work focuses on understanding how stress, trauma, and prolonged pressure affect the mind and body, and on helping clients develop skills that actually translate into daily life.

This includes people navigating anxiety, chronic stress, trauma, moral injury, and major life transitions, as well as those who are struggling to stay present in their relationships, work, or sense of purpose.
